Farmer's Market
Register trays begin the line where
People hold their baskets of
Tomatoes so red they sing next
to green beans overlapping
Milk cartons stacked for a truck ride home
My children behind me asking,
"Which tent of the market do strawberries grow?
"Where are all the cows?"
They're over there, can't you see?
Close your eyes and you can smell
The cows, the dirt, the air between
Seedling and slow earned ripening
We will take two of everything.
On second thought please
Make that three.
Those voluptuous singing tomatoes.

Wow. You probably think everyone can write like this! THEY CAN'T! :) Nams
Nam - Thank you!! What started out asa huge diatribe about our trip to the FM got cut into short clips about it instead. So glad you liked it. Never know how these things go over when others can't see inside your brain. Apparently, you can. :) <3 xoxoxo
