Afraid

In a few days my son will begin preschool and leave me all alone...

with this...

and I'm afraid of it.

It eats lipstick...

and real size food...

...and the hearts of grown up men.

It paints shirts, hands, door knobs and dog tails.

It is wildfire and brimstone.

It's never less than three feet away from its brother.

It is called Abigail and I am very afraid.

And I bet it's quiet and forlorn for a few days when big brother leaves it all alone. I have a little brother clinging to me as I write because his partners in crime are off at school and he is not happy about it.
That said, relish the alone time with her. It's lovely and fleeting for she'll be off on her own school adventures before you know it.

Good luck to both you and her! If nothing else, it looks like she will keep things entertaining, while you both adjust to big brother being gone.

Saran Wrap the house, keep the hose handy, grab the popcorn and enjoy the show. It goes off the air way too soon. <3

Miss you guys! We're all settled in and successfully back to school now. After G gets settled into school we'll have to figure some way to get together. With afternoon kindergarten we're pretty much house bound here during the week. But we'll figure something out.

PS - I love that the lipstick was accessorizing a spiderman shirt! She's my kind of girl.
